New York’s parade hosts 2 million people, larger than any other cancelled event tracked by Forbes. Boston, over a fifth of whose residents are Irish, hosted last year a reported 1 million merrymakers at its parade. Along with the New York Auto Show, Boston’s parafde is tied for the third-largest cancelled event Forbes has tracked (only behind the Houston Rodeo) and is approximately twice the size of the parade in Dublin, Ireland’s capital.
