The trade is expected to be completed on Monday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported. The expected deal brings an end to Anthony’s sometimes brilliant but often tumultuous run with one of the league’s most volatile franchises. The deal moves Anthony to an Oklahoma City club with the reigning MVP, Russell Westbrook, as well as another recent starry addition, Paul George. Though the Western Conference is stacked with powers including the defending champion Golden State Warriors, the addition of Anthony makes OKC an intriguing club and possible contender. Jackson parted ways with the Knicks in early summer, and the club signed a new general manager, Scott Perry, in July.
