The New York Police Department was investigating swastikas scrawled on the walls of an aquatics and fitness center in Manhattan as a hate crime, a police official said Thursday. Employees at the Asphalt Green facility on the Upper East Side discovered three swastikas drawn inside the family-changing area near its pool on Wednesday, police said. On Thursday, employees found three more symbols at the same location.
