New York City on Tuesday extended its curfew through the rest of the week as Manhattan businesses worked to safeguard their stores after a night of widespread looting and violence that followed peaceful protests over the death of George Floyd. Workers in Midtown, one of the neighborhoods hardest hit by looting Monday night, shielded store windows in anticipation of more looting.
