The association with Mr. Carlyle, especially in light of his work on “Hello, Dolly!,” couldn’t come at a better time, says Lee Seymour, a New York-based theater writer and producer. “If you can take a piece of ‘Hello, Dolly!’ and capitalize on it, that’s smart,” he said.
