New York Airport Restaurants and Stores Are Cleared for Price Increases


New York airport businesses have the green light to raise prices on everything from neck pillows to potato chips later this summer. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s board of commissioners voted unanimously Thursday to allow restaurants and retail stores to increase prices as much as 10% at the region’s three major airports. Airport businesses are currently required to adhere to street pricing, which means they can’t charge more than the goods cost locally outside the airport.
