New Year's Honours: Two decades of community service recognisedJasmine Jenke Sharon Wilson-Davis is awarded an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit. It began as a six-month stint, but soon turned into more than two decades of community service for Sharon Wilson-Davis. She is the chief executive of STRIVE Community Trust in south Auckland, originally known as the Tamaki Ki Raro Trust. Her efforts see her awarded an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit, or ONZM, for services to the community. When you're Māori, you're told you have to give something back to your people.
