Oluwatosin OmojuyigbeThe Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested a hit-and-run driver, identified as Damilola Bickerstteth, who allegedly crushed a man to death on New Year Day. It was gathered that Bickerstteth allegedly hit the deceased, identified as Ahmed Adebayo, around 5am in Aguda, Surulere. It was gathered that when Bickerstteth’s car got stuck, he got out and escaped, leaving the vehicle at the scene. The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP, Chike Oti, said Bickerstteth was arrested in his hideout in the Ikorodu area of Lagos. “The suspect, in a bid to escape, ran into an electric pole, which destabilised his vehicle, and he ran away, leaving his vehicle on the spot.
