Global automotive manufacturing company Stellantis intends to develop a greenfield manufacturing facility in Coega in South Africa. The automotive manufacturing plant is planned for completion by the end of 2025 and will be built in the Coega special economic zone situated near Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. New automotive plant aims for speedy delivery in Coega SEZMinister Patel advised that South Africa currently has the capacity to produce close to 700,000 vehicles annually. The automotive plant joins other major manufacturers in the area making the Coega region the primary automotive hub in the country. We look forward to welcoming Stellantis to South Africa and sharing in the detailed plan for employment and investment.”
