A new specialist resource base has already started making a positive impact after opening at a primary school near Diss. As part of Norfolk’s Local First Inclusion programme, nine new bases providing 110 new specialist places are opening at mainstream primary schools this year. A Specialist Hub of Inclusive Practice (SHIP) opened at Roydon Primary School in February. The new classrooms were made to support children with SEND and help them reach their full potential. SRBs are making a real difference to children and families, helping many more children get the specialist support they need closer to home.
