New San Po Kong cluster emerges as HK reports 70 Covid cases


Health officials said they have noted a new cluster in San Po Kong, where 10 patients were infected from a “Teacher Billy’s Music Classroom” at New Trend Centre in San Po Kong. The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12am today, it has recorded 70 additional confirmed coronavirus cases – six imported and 64 local – bringing the tally to 7,964 cases. There were also around 70 preliminary positive cases today. Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection's Communicable Disease Branch, said of the fresh local cases today, 39 were linked to previous local infections and 25 with untraceable sources. Chuang said the 10 infected in San Po Kong involves a teacher and five of his students.
