Sujoy Sarker, assistant director of RAB Legal and Media wing, confirmed the matter. Abdullah was appointed as the new RAB DG through a gazette published on April 8. He had been serving as the chief (IGP) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police at the time. The former DG of RAB, Benazir Ahmed stepped down from his position on Monday.
