New Plymouth's Greenwood Archers Barbara Scott, Paivi Old, Nina Hoeta, Hamish Connor and Corbyn Jensen succeeded in the World Indoor Archery Championships recently. The likes of Robin Hood and Hunger Games' heroine Katniss Everdeen often bring a few new faces to a New Plymouth archery class. Members of New Plymouth's Greenwood Archery Club have been named the top in the world after the World Indoor Archery Championships. And although junior compound bow archer Hamish Connor, 14, didn't score a medal at the international championships, he came out eighth in the world - after only four months with the club. But since practising more and joining the club Connor said her son "hasn't looked back".
