A lucky Lotto player has come forward to claim the biggest Powerball prize ever drawn in the South Island. A Powerball player from New Plymouth is New Zealand's newest multi-millionaire after winning $12.5 million in Saturday night's draw. The winning Powerball ticket was sold at Fitzroy Lotto & Mags in New Plymouth. The prize was made up of $12 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division. Players could also phone Lotto NZ on 0800-695-6886 to inquire about how to claim a prize.
