Signs on the fence around the former St Andrews Church hall called for it to be saved from demolition. The former St Andrews Church hall on Margan Ave in West Auckland has been ruled unsafe as it is at risk of collapse and "likely" to cause injury or death. The hall was occupied for a year in 2010 by an Asian church community group until Auckland Council ruled it unsafe. It was built, by hand, by St Andrews Church minister Rev W P Rankin.
