New Indian foreign service officers make 'familiarisation' visit to Bangladesh


The Indian High Commission said 10 trainee officers, who are now on a week-long tour, met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the foreign ministry on Tuesday. Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, was also present. They also witnessed the signing of an MoU on Ramkola Development Project at Dinajpur District, Bangladesh under Indian development assistance. The group will leave Dhaka on Feb 2 for Sylhet from where they will leave for India using Dawki land border on Feb 4. India sends its new officers to neighbouring countries every year as part of the training.
