Advertisers spend huge amounts of their budgets on researching the desired target audiences for their products. The idea for both new tools is to reduce the amount of money advertisers spend targeting the wrong people—known in the ad industry as wastage. The tool then adjusts the advertiser’s campaign to send ads to the people it anticipates are most likely to actually spend the most money. The new offerings build on Facebook’s efforts to help advertisers spend their money more wisely.
