New Cairo partner for Clyde & Co

A transactional and disputes practitioner with managing partner and international law firm experience is the latest arrival at the international firm’s Egypt outpost. International law firm Clyde & Co has recruited Mohamed Ramadan as a partner in its Cairo corporate practice, effective 24 March. Ramadan previously served as co-founder and managing partner of UAE firm OGH Legal’s Cairo office, a three-year stint which ended earlier this year in January. In a statement, Clyde & Co head of corporate Philip O’Riordan described the hire of Ramadan as “a strong addition”, while Cairo office managing partner Mohammed Barakat praised the new arrivals’ “sector depth and strong track record in leading complex transactions”. In February, French-headquartered law firm LPA Law strengthened its Dubai disputes offering with its hire of an Egyptian infrastructure and construction lawyer.
