Nevine Gamea to remain CEO of MSMEDA for another year


CAIRO – 7 July 2020: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, issued Tuesday a decree to renew confidence in Nevin Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, as CEO of the Egyptian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) for a year. Madbouli also issued a decision appointing Tarek Shash, Head of the Central Sector for Planning and International Cooperation in the agency, as the deputy chief executive of the agency. She clarified that the executive regulations of the law for developing small, medium and small projects are currently being developed in coordination with the House of Representatives and all concerned parties, which will give a strong boost to this sector in light of the facilities it includes to establish new projects and the benefits it includes to encourage projects to shift from the informal sector to the formal one. Head of the Central Sector for Planning and International Cooperation and the Deputy Executive Chairman of the agency Tarek Shash stressed that the agency is mobilizing the necessary financial resources in coordination with the Ministry of International Cooperation to implement financing and technical support policies for various types of projects. He pointed out that the coming period will witness further development in the services provided by the agency, especially electronic and interactive services, which are in line with the government's tendency to automate the services provided to citizens and facilitate procedures for establishing and developing projects.
