Netwatch, the fast-growing Carlow-headquartered digital security firm, recorded a sharp rise in sales last year and expects to report a further jump in revenues for 2017. Revenue“Having grown from €200,000 to €1 million last year we’re now expecting ebitda to rise to close to €4 million in 2017,” said Mr Walsh. Netwatch, which moved into the US market in 2012 and now has offices in Boston, New York, Pittsburgh and Chicago, said US-derived revenue doubled last year on the back of a €16 million rise in new contract wins. Netwatch saw pretax losses rise to €2.7 million from €2.2 a year earlier. Netwatch employed 166 people in 2016, up 27 per cent on 2015.
