Comedian Chris Lilley has got social media users in a spin again, five years after his controversial series Jonah from Tonga aired. On Thursday, Netflix dropped the trailer for Lunatics, a 10-part mockumentary created by, written by and starring Lilley. His series Jonah from Tonga was pulled from New Zealand television several years ago after a government MP said it portrayed negative stereotypes of Pacific peoples. In 2017, Lilley was criticised for posting a music clip on social media entitled Squashed N----. The show is the second Netflix series to be produced locally since they launched in Australia in 2015.
