(CNN) — “Squid Game” is officially coming back. Netflix announced Sunday that the wildly popular South Korean show is greenlit for a second season. Netflix told CNN in October that “Squid Game” was the “biggest-ever series at launch” for the company. “It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year,” Hwang said in the letter. “But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular series ever.”Hwang had confirmed last year that he would make a second season of the show.
