So it's fair to say the former Waimea College senior A captain is pretty happy to become the first recipient of the NMIT netball scholarship valued at $6000, enabling her to continue chasing those ambitions. The scholarship is a result of a partnership between Nelson Netball and the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology. Netball centre manager Lindsay Filiata believes it will help retain talented players, with Rasmussen herself originally looking at furthering her studies in Dunedin.
