SportMandira Chathurangi was named the captain of the Sri Lanka team for the 8th World Youth Netball Championship which will be held in Botswana from July 8 to 16. Kavitha Gunathilake, a player from Hillwood College Kandy has been named as the vice captain of the tour. The Sri Lanka team will include Melani Wijesinghe, Tamara Aluwihare, Sethmi Dinushi, H.D. Sri Lanka had been drawn in Group 'A' that also includes New Zealand, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Samoa. Sri Lanka will compete against Group 'A' rivals Scotland, Northern Ireland, Samoa and New Zealand on July 8, 9, 11 and 12 respectively.
