Neptune's mysterious storm shrinking out of existence

The storm has been raging on Neptune, the eighth planet in our solar system. Its storm, known as the "Great Red Spot," has been around for at least 350 years. A storm known as the "Great Dark Spot" was recorded on the planet by Voyager 2 in the 1980s. But Neptune storms had never been tracked to understand their short lifespans. The dark spot was first seen on the planet at mid-southern latitudes.
