NewsA Nepali national who tried to smuggle heroin into the country has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by officers from the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB). The suspect had arrived in the country this morning (30) on a flight from Dubai. On further interogation, it was revealed that the suspect had swallowed heroin capsules. He was admitted to the Negombo Hospital where eight heroin capsules have so far been recovered from the suspect. The suspect is due to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court, in order to obtain a detention order against him.
