Nelson man Nick Russell has had a year to be proud of. Completing an engineering degree with first class honours and co-founding a software development start-up were achievements to celebrate. The engineering student said it was difficult to see his peers continue their university studies while he dealt with cancer treatment. After nine months of treatment in Wellington, he returned home to Nelson where he spent six months in recovery mode.
