A Nelson woman was found to be over the limit after being forced to evacuate from a domain during the Pigeon Valley wildfires. The Nelson District Court on Monday heard that Tillotson and her husband were evacuated from their Pigeon Valley farm on February 6. However, Judge Zohrab said there were a number of factors which contributed to the stressful situation and to Tillotson acting in an erratic manner. Under the circumstances, Judge Zohrab said he was content to find special reasons applied and he disqualified Tillotson from driving for 28 days.
