Fire crews stopped the raging Nelson bush fire just metres from half a dozen homes in Redwood Valley. Flames from the raging Nelson bush fire came within metres of houses on Redwood Valley Rd, but a heroic effort from firefighters beat them back. Braden Fastier Burnt paddocks and fences showed how close the flames came to houses in Redwood Valley. Fire and command crews continued to operate through Tuesday night where possible to keep the fires away from houses. Braden Fastier Helicopters with monsoon buckets continue to douse hot spots in the Redwood Hills on Wednesday.
