Nelson-Tasman named as top five holiday destinationThe beginning of the Abel Tasman National Park, one of the places listed as a must-do in Nelson/Tasman. Travellers have voted the Nelson region as the fifth-most favoured destination in an online poll. Nelson Tasman Tourism chief executive Lynda Keene has previously said having more airlines flying into Nelson had really helped tourism growth, with expectation for a good winter this year. Fiordland was voted number one followed by Queenstwon, Taupo, Taranaki and Nelson-Tasman. Marketing manager Matt Hobbs said the consumer poll was a "great opportunity" to show the hotspots to visit in New Zealand.
