But politically, the way it’s gone now, and the way that it all is, it’s just not going to live. He’s so talented and he’s made this film that really set me off in a direction. Alien 3 was widely viewed as the moment the promising franchise went into unstoppable decline, leading the iconic xenomorph down a dark path that eventually led to Alien vs Predator. J.J. Abrams reboot of Star Wars was incredibly well-received, but catered to nostalgia rather than the exciting new horizon ahead.
