An injured man lay on the ground with a badly swollen face and covered in blood, in the middle of the afternoon in Auckland, a witness says. The man remained in critical condition after he was found with serious injuries on a street in Manurewa. Police were called to reports of a person with serious injuries on Friedlanders Rd about 2.10pm on Saturday. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a critical condition.
