BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A lawyer was wounded while her driver was killed in an ambush in Talisay, Negros Occidental on Friday night. Erfe del Castillo, 44, suffered injuries in the arms and head after she was hit by glass shards. Del Castillo’s driver Efren Palmares died of multiple gunshot wounds. Del Castillo is the third lawyer targeted by unidentified assailants in Negros in the past four months. On Nov. 6, human rights lawyer Benjamin Ramos was slain in Kabankalan, Negros Occidental.
