With the way Pokemon Go is taking over the real world, it was only a matter of time before a new film reared its head. Previous rumours around a Pokemon film hinted that Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra) would write the script. Which is why it's little surprise reports are coming in that Legendary Pictures is working on a deal to secure the rights to make a live-action Pokemon film. And that's something Pokemon is certainly not short on - the launch of Pokemon Go has seen the app overtake Twitter in popularity and has taken the internet by storm. Nintendo received a massive US$9 billion (US$12.4 billion) stock price increase after Pokemon Go launched in the United States, proving there's a tonne of money to be made from the renewed interest in this franchise.
