The Plymouth Library hosted a community program featuring John Mabry and two players from the first Nebraska volleyball team, Kathy Drewes and Peggy Tilgner, on Saturday. Mabry is the author of “Nebraska Volleyball – The Origin Story.”He is currently the chief relationship officer at the Food Bank of Lincoln. He’s written more than 500 features and helped cover Nebraska volleyball in five NCAA tournaments. She played on the very first Nebraska volleyball team in 1967. Mabry pointed out that Nebraska Volleyball set a record attendance of 92,003 last fall at a game at Memorial Stadium.
