First-half fireworks gave way to a scoreless second half as the Nebraska soccer team and Rutgers battled to a 2-2 draw Thursday night at Hibner Stadium. The Scarlet Knights regained the lead when Sam Kroeger received a cross in the box and bounced her shot past Husker goalie Samantha Hauk at 22:35. The Huskers (7-2-3, 1-1-2 Big Ten) kept up the pressure in the second half, outshooting Rutgers 15-5 after the break. Nebraska also had six of its 11 corners after halftime to just one for Rutgers (5-4-3, 1-2-1). Up next for Nebraska is a road match at Northwestern at 2 p.m. Sunday.
