Nebraska’s quest for a Big Ten baseball title will extend to the last game of the regular season. The Huskers built an early lead and pulled away late to dispatch Michigan State 11-3 Friday afternoon at McLane Baseball Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. The outcome clinches a top-two seed for Nebraska (34-18, 16-7) in next week’s Big Ten tournament at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. Michigan State (23-27, 10-13) is eliminated from postseason contention with the loss. The full list of teams in Omaha, in alphabetical order: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue.
