Heavy falls of about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Western provinces. Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning. The Meteorology Department has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. Winds will be Westerly to South-westerly in the sea areas extending from Kankesanturai to Pottuvil via Puttalam, Colombo and Hambantota. Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
