The North-East Zonal Director of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Ali Ndume, says the high number of votes recorded by the party is due to the relative peace in the geopolitical zone. Senator Ndume, who was at the Aso Rock Villa to congratulate Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on the victory of APC in the presidential election, explained that the one-week postponement, however, affected voters turnout. Ndume expressed confidence that the APC will win the governorship election in the state. The governorship and state houses of assembly elections will hold on March 9, 2019.
