Kiharu MP and President William Ruto’s ally Ndindi Nyoro on Sunday rubbished parts of the final report submitted by the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO). Nyoro cited that the country's economy in its current fragile state cannot accommodate some of the proposals. “Some of the issues they have proposed to be actualised, they need a referendum and we cannot subject Kenya to a contest," Nyoro stated. In the report, the committee failed to agree on lowering the fuel VAT from 16% to 8% and to scrap off the housing levy.
