Nazi flag might help Temuka RSA and museum

Nazi flag might help Temuka RSA and museumJOHN BISSET/FAIRFAX NZTemuka Museum will display an authentic World War II Nazi flag this weekend in the hopes of raising more funds. Patrick said the flag was usually stored at the museum at Waihi School. Howey hoped the flag would help attract some "new blood" and "get more bums on seats" at the RSA club since membership had been in decline. The flag was a "marker flag" hung from an aerodrome during the Battle of Crete by the invading Germans, Kelman said. Temuka RSA manager and secretary Vicky Howey said she was "fascinated" to see the flag and it had "drawn a lot of interest already".
