The industry's blatant sexism came to light when director Suraaj, in an interview to an independent YouTube channel, made lewd comments against actor Tamannaah. This is not the state of Tamil cinema, but the society itself. Another distributing fact about Tamil cinema was out in the open when actor Amyra Dastur revealed the 'padding' culture. Having equally contributed to their share of mediocre films, Nayanthara, Trisha and Tamannaah are presently a game changer for Tamil cinema.
