LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday underwent medical tests at Sharif Medical City that were conducted by a team of neurosurgeons and his personal physician Dr Adnan in order to normalise the ex-premier’s blood circulation. Nawaz Sharif was released from the Kot Lakhpat jail on March 27 in Al-Azizia Steel Mills case after the Supreme Court granted him bail for six weeks allowing him to get medical treatment from doctors of his choice in the country. During the medical checkup at the medical complex, doctors “detected disturbed blood flow through the left artery of his heart”. They also decided to test his eyesight in view of finding higher blood glucose levels. On Wednesday, ex-PM’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan said pacemaker should be implanted in his body permanently to regulate his heartbeat.
