Navy's P-8I surveillance aircraft, satellites scout for missing An-32


They are being regularly updated on the progress of search for the missing aircraft, the IAF said. It has a powerful Synthetic Aperture Radar, which will be utilised during the SAR sweeps to locate the missing aircraft. The missing aircraft is yet to be upgraded. During the search, aircraft are assigned different paths based on the coordinates within the search area. Once a possible lead is identified, helicopter and ground teams are sent in.
