Malcolm Perry (5) ended up playing the majority of the fourth quarter for Navy on Saturday. Soon after, the freshman backup spotted a Navy assistant in the stands headed in his direction. “Obviously it wasn’t even planned for me to dress today,” Perry said outside the Navy locker room following the team’s 11th straight home win. They let me back Thursday, and they let me play in the JV game, which I was excited about that. Smith is set to be evaluated further in the coming days and was unavailable for comment after the game.
