Of her state trip, 49 percent expressed approval, while only 14 percent were dissatisfied, but 36 percent withheld comment. The poll has a 95-percent confidence level, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points. Late June saw Tsai embarking on her first state trip abroad to diplomatic allies in Central and South America, to attend the Panama Canal expansion ceremony and visit Paraguay.
