Several flights were diverted from Mangaluru after this fighter jet of the Navy made an emergency landing on Tuesday.BY SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTA MiG-29K fighter plane of the Indian Navy made an emergency landing at the international airport in Mangaluru on Tuesday evening. Air traffic was affected between 4.30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Radhakrishna said that the MiG-29K was on a routine sortie from an aircraft carrier in Goa when it was diverted to Mangaluru following a hydraulic failure. A tweet from the Navy’s spokesman at around 7 p.m. said, “Air traffic disrupted temporarily at Mangalore airport [in] view [of] emergency landing of Naval fighter. The incident follows a day after an Air India flight from Mumbai to Kochi made an emergency landing at Mangaluru International Airport with 58 passengers on board.
