(Rick Scuteri via Associated Press)With three days until pitchers and catchers report to their new Grapefruit League home in West Palm Beach, the Nationals announced 24 nonroster invitees to spring training Saturday. Sixteen were players signed to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. The three top prospects of the group are Erick Fedde, Andrew Stevenson and Drew Ward, all of whom split the 2016 season between Class A Potomac and Class AA Harrisburg. Fedde, who turns 24 later this month, is widely regarded as the Nationals second-best prospect behind outfielder Victor Robles.
