Natore jail inmate released on suspicion of coronavirus, sent to Dhaka


He was first admitted to the isolation ward of Natore General HospitalA court has granted bail to a jail inmate in Natore on suspicion of Covid-19, a new strain of coronavirus, infection. The inmate, Osman Goni, was first admitted to the Natore General Hospital isolation ward and later transferred to Dhaka on Monday to test for Covid-19 and for better treatment. Natore Jail Super Abdul Barek said due to a suspicion of having coronavirus, Osman Goni was granted bail on Sunday. Court Inspector Aminur Rahman said a bail petition was filed by the inmate’s family members, following which Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mamunur Rashid granted the bail. In Bangladesh, 27 people have tested positive for coronavirus and three deaths have been reported till date, however, IEDCR is yet to brief on the recent death.
