KOTA BARU: The National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA) staff who was detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly soliciting and receiving a RM500 bribe, was remanded for seven days today. Court registrar Faizah Abdullah allowed the 50-year-old man to be remanded under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The remand order ends on Nov 29. The NADA staff, attached to the agency's office in Tanah Merah, was detained by MACC officers about 5.35pm yesterday. He is believed to have sought a bribe from a suspected drug addict.
